I know I’ve been away a long time and I always come back and apologize and promise I will be different and update everyday. I am just swamped. I have been working 6 days a week for quite a while but last Saturday was the last Saturday! So that is exciting. This week is going to be crazy and exhausting, I have with my boyfriend and his uncle on Saturdays to help them with their Tax Season insanity, and since the 15th is this week (yay!) I am going to go there straight from my office one or 2 nights this week- which means I will be working from 8-4 than 5-?? It is guaranteed that I will be completely exhausted. So instead of getting down about it.. I am online window shopping for my Cruise Wear! I leave on my cruise in just about a month, and with the extra money I am making I will be able to get a few special items for when I set sail! Here are my favorite picks for what to wear on a cruise!

I may have gone a little crazy with the amount of favorites I chose to share, but believe me- this is nothing.

In high school and even college sometimes, I really enjoyed creating things. I used to paint, draw, etch- all those good things. I have always had supplies on hand and always tell myself I should get back into it- well finally yesterday I started a project. I guess I was feeling creative! I am so glad I started working on this, I feel so much more productive sitting on the couch creating, as opposed to sitting on the couch snacking and watching TV.

Please excuse the quality of the photo, it is from my phone — I promise better photos once it is completed. I also attacked my room after work yesterday. I bedroom is quite tiny and since moving in in September it has become a room to sleep in and that is all. I want my room to be a haven for me- so I got in there and cleaned it, you would not believe how much junk I could fit in that tiny room. Next I got rid of the giant TV I had in there. I have never even plugged it in since I have been there, so it is safe to say I won’t miss it. I have take some pictures but I left my camera and home. I have bought somethings to enhance and make it feel mine. As per my lease I am not allowed to paint, so I am going to make due with art and posters and mirrors etc.

I got this vintage movie poster from Ebay, it has yet to arrive. If you have never seen Barefoot in the Park- I suggest you get on it immediately. It is a childhood favorite of mine, being one of my mom’s favorites I have watched it a million times. It is a funny, quirky movie about newlyweds who are at different as night and day. Starring Jane Fonda, who has a wardrobe to die for, and a young and dashing Robert Redford — who let’s face it — is always a pleasure to watch.

I also scored this little gem on Ebay, I am sure this movie needs to explanation. I love the colors of these vintage movie posters. So far, these are my only 2 purchases going to my bedroom. I am really excited to transform it into a comfy haven for me to go. I am also excited to share my progress and end result with you all!

Anyone who is a Lost fan, definitely knows what I am talking about when I say.. FINALLY! I was so excited to learn about Richard Alpert last night, and while it was a great episode (it always is) I somehow always feel more confused than I was to begin with. My boyfriend and I have a Tuesday night routine- depending on how late he gets home from work, we will either make dinner or get take out spend some time catching up and hanging out, than from 9-10pm– SILENCE!! Lost is on! It is our favorite show, we never miss an episode. Now that its getting closer and closer to April 15th- Tuesdays are the only days I am guaranteed to see my accountant boyfriend.

Not cute at all- quite horrid actually- but excited for Lost!!

So last night, we ordered from Peppino’s a delicious brick oven Italian place in the neighborhood and I was completely jealous of Richie’s yummy looking hero, but proud of myself that I didn’t cave in and get a giant calzone or anything. As far as Lost is concerned, there are only 7 episodes left… EVER! I don’t know what we will do when it’s all over, probably watch it all from the beginning.

I have been reading Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates- a historical fiction based on Marilyn Monroe. Although I am only a little more than half way done, I wanted to share. It is such an interesting book, I knew somewhat about Marilyn Monroe, but it really gives you an inside look on why she was the way she was, and how troubled she was. It is heartbreaking and captivating and I really recommend the book to anyone who has interest in her– I do warn it is a bit graphic at times, and definetly upsetting as well. She was such a beautiful woman, a girl really, I can’t put it down, but I am reading it as slowly as possible because I don’t want it to end (I do that with every book I love).

Lately, I have been watching every single episode of Sex and the City EVER! I just LOVE everything- the scenery, the apartments THE CLOTHES! I know everyone uses Carrie Bradshaw as a style icon, because lets face it- everyone wants to be her, but I don’t care if its cliche. I have selected some of my favorite outfits of hers- there are so many it was hard to chose, btu it made it easier when I couldn’t fine every look online.

I just realized everything I chose is in the same color palette- I told you I have been into blush tones lately!

Spring Fever!

Okay, I know, I am officially the worst blogger ever! Besides my quick wedding recap, I haven’t posted anything in a long time- I’m Sorry! I had a crazy couple of weeks- But I am back now and I am really happy things have calmed down, but more than that warmed up!! It has been in the 60s and 70s this week in New York and it is so fabulous! All I want to do is shop for spring/sumer clothes- but unfortunately my wallet won’t allow for much spending. So instead I will lust over these beautiful items and maybe just pick one or 2 favorites. I am really into pretty blush tones, pinks, peaches, beiges and nudes. And just like every spring before, I am crazy for florals- I know, I know- like Miranda Priestly says, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking!” But I think when done the right way, florals are classic.

Wedding Bells Are Ringing!!

This past weekend was my cousin’s wedding, FINALLY. I feel like we all waited for it for such a long time and it was over in the blink of an eye, it’s like it didn’t even happen. But it was beautiful, the bride was absolutely gorgeous. Although we got a little rain, it didn’t hold us back. We had a great time, we danced and ate and drank. With 300 guests, I feel like I barely saw anyone, but so many people at the same time. Now that it has come and gone, we are on to the next- 2 more cousins are getting married, one in October, and sister of the bride next April! So my post wedding depression won’t last too long thankfully.

I am really sad it is over, but I am excited for the upcoming nuptials of my soon to be beautiful brides! I love weddings all around!

Nicole Richie has introduced additions to her 1960′s inspired line House of Harlow 1960. Last year she came out with a beautiful line of jewelry and accessories, but I must say she has truly outdone herself with these shoes! I love every pair, there are ’70s inspired platforms and boho-chic flats- everything you could want! Not to mention everything falls into my summer look I talked about! You can pre-order them on Kitson.

I am completely in love with the last sandal- I LOVE the combination of tan and turquoise. I don’t know about you, but I think Nicole Richie has found her niche.
